Show some love – give a shout out!

The work of our therapists…

…is both hard and beautiful. It isn’t easy to give so much for other people’s children, to put yourself in the way of all the awful things that land on young people, to hear them and guide them in a world that sometimes feels broken, especially now when it is all harder than ever.

But our therapists show up, full of heart and passion and perseverance to support children, even on the days when it all feels like it is crumbling. They show up however is necessary – virtually, outside, or in the office, in order to make sure our children and families are held.

Our support team…

…shows up everyday to put themselves on the front lines of families in crisis, who might not be patient or able to think rationally. They have felt the weight of communicating with parents who are struggling to cope with the demands of stay-at-home everything. But they still show up every day, full of empathy and compassion, doing all the thankless behind the scenes work, even through their own feelings of burnout.

It is an incredibly taxing time to work in mental health and our team has carried the burden of this pandemic and all it’s fall out more than most. They show up every day even when their own worlds feel shaky and unsafe. They put their own needs aside to fully support children and families through the uncertainty of it all and we are so proud of them. We know you are too.

As the pandemic grinds on, we want these incredible, hard working people to know that their work has not gone unnoticed. We want them to know that we see them, their sacrifice and that we are so glad they keep showing up.

Hopefully, we can flood each member of our team with love and support in this season. We ask that you take this opportunity to give an anonymous shout out to your IFC Therapist and/or Support Team. It will mean more to them than you know.
